Hairloss Product: Hair Genesis Shampoo Product Review

hairgen.jpg (6417 bytes)I was pleasantly surprised a couple of weeks ago after I received some samples from Hair Genesis of their products.  The surprise was not that I received the products, but that the shampoo was so good.  Frankly, I have never heard anybody comment on the quality of the shampoo and had no expectations of it.  Like I said, I was surprised.

As usual, I am not trying to judge the hair growth qualities of the shampoo.   Hair Genesis shampoo does have some natural ingredients which have been reputed to potentially help with hairloss (Saw Palmetto Berry Extract, Beta-Sitosterol, and Mucopolysaccharides).  My general philosophy is that shampoos do generally very little for hairloss and if they do help you, you should consider yourself very lucky.   I'm not sure I'd recommend someone try Hair Genesis shampoo alone to grow hair, but it has other positive qualities.  Like I said, in my reviews I am not able to judge the merits of shampoos working for hairloss.

The good qualities of Hair Genesis shampoo is that it is a great thickening and conditioning shampoo.  I would say it conditioned and thickened for me about as well as any of our top 5 ranked shampoos (Nano, Nioxin, Tricomin).   Like I said, I was surprised.  The shampoo is expensive compared to normal shampoos, but priced similarly to the other top 5 ranked shampoos, and on a monthly basis it's not too expensive.  I normally do not use conditioner, but I tried the Hair Genesis conditioner to see how well it worked for me.  I did not notice any real benefit adding the conditioner.  The thickening and conditioning was about the same as far as I could tell, but I only tried it once, and my hair isn't very long so I don't need conditioner as much as others.

Overall, I rank Hair Genesis highly for anyone looking for a good thickening/conditioning shampoo.  I am not sure I would recommend it alone to someone who just wanted to grow hair, but I don't know that it has no positive effect either.  If you're just looking for a good thickening and conditioning shampoo, it deserves consideration.
